In the last 20 years no city in the world has blossomed quite so much as Dubai. It's grown from a small city in the United Arab Emirates to a centre for commerce and, of course, relaxation, as it's got everything you need for a wonderful holiday - beautiful beaches, guaranteed sunshine and an array of exotic Arabian flavours and experiences to excite the senses. The development has not only been quick but revolutionary too, as Dubai is home to some of the world's most ambitious and exciting architectural projects - Palm Island (pictured below), the Burj al Arab hotel (in the picture left) which prides itself on being the only 7 Star hotel in the world, and The World, a group of artificially created islands which make up a map of the world.

There is a huge range of property to buy in Dubai - even if you don't have the celebrity millions to buy an island in The World or a branch of The Palm, hundreds of fantastic apartments and villas are available and the prices may even give you a nice surprise.

As the city has come to prominence there have been lots of reports of celebrities buying property in Dubai - not all of them true. At one point it was rumoured that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (or 'Brangelina') had bought the island representing Ethiopia in The World, but it was later denied by the couple. However, Formula One stars like Nikki Lauda and Michael Schumacher and golfers Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Gary Player have all had places in Dubai. This is helped by the fact that Dubai has some great golf courses - chiefly the Emirates Golf Club, home to the Dubai Desert Classic, but the Dubai Creek Club and the Montgomerie are among several other top class venues. There is a wealth of property for sale within easy reach of all of the golf clubs and other sporting venues in Dubai - they are generally within easy reach of the beach too, and one of the luxurious hotel bars and restaurants so you can finish your day in style.
