Matt Lucas has come a long way from playing the drumming 'big baby' George Dawes in Reeves and Mortimer's Shooting Stars - with David Walliams he's become a comedy superstar thanks to sketch show sensation Little Britain.

In December 2006 Lucas and his long term partner TV producer Kevin McGee were joined in a civil partnership ceremony in London, and in May 2007 he was placed 8th in the list of the UK's 100 most influential gays and lesbians. He was brought up in Stanmore, North London and first started workin with Reeves and Mortimer in 1992.

His cousin Alexa Tilley appeared as a contestant on The Apprentice, but was fired in the fourth episode by Alan Sugar.
