John, 20, from Edinburgh, is the Chairman of the Scottish Youth Parliament, the first teenager ever to be appointed to the position. He has under him a team of staff, most of whom are in their 30s and 40s, is studying for a degree in Politics and Sociology and hopes to run for office next year. One of his main aims is to "tackle child poverty in the UK" and he says he'd also like to see a "revival and attitude change" towards red-haired people. On the first night of Celebrity Hijack John was made to say and do excrutiatingly embarrassing things on meeting his fellow housemates, via an earpiece link with hijacker Matt Lucas, but he won a party for the house so it was all worth it in the end.
